It’s non-porous, non-metallic quality helps to use for mixing clay masks to keep materials activated. It is particularly great for working with negatively charged materials like bentonite clay, as that clay reacts to metal. Secretly, we love it as a mini facial gua sha tool.

The porcelain beauty (short-hand for skin care) spatula is not perfectly flat and allows for a gentle contouring along the face for applying special products that you don’t want absorbed by your hands. The beauty tool in particular is not meant for gua sha, definitely check out our tool for that here, which is a bit more robust in shaping and sculpting. Though, this can be used for gentle massage if desired. There is not as much material for holding this tool so the other Gua Sha tool is where we like to point folks.

Beautiful and unique for ceremonial style and a nod to the natural stone of marble, which is far too porous and soft for this particular use.
