All the pretty things
The beginning of this year was marked by transitioning into a new studio. From my once, oh-so-loved warehouse space in Cambridge; to a lovely skylit space just outside of Union Square in Somerville. Things have been growing and as orders for porcelain goodness have begun to pick up, I am my typical ball of happiness.
Lately I have been able to setup my office area in the studio so I start forming the nice habit of getting in to work by 9am. You would think since I can set my own hours... life would be more flexible. But in reality! If I don't get in early, the whole porcelain and stoneware production line gets backed up and then orders would take longer to finish and ship out. Being a little nerdy-birdy. I cannot have that. Plus, the VT Covered Bridges Half-Marathon is coming up and my husband and I like to do our running right after work with our little runt, Chloe. So, keeping reliable hours helps reduce on potential stress and I can always just add on more hours if I need more time during the day. Working until 1 am is still kind of common right now, but it's probably just because I love my studio space and time easily escapes me these days!
Chloe (our beautiful dog) is a constant source of entertainment. So, you'll please excuse me when IInstagram the heck out of her as my own way of relieving the overwhelming posts about... all things gold and porcelain! I cannot help sharing about the little sculpted jewelry bits. They make me happy!
...and happy is kind of nice.
